Further to a previous Press Release on the 20th August 2021 and in response to public demand, Sligo County Council are adding two further meeting dates to the consultation process for the refined Feasible Options (The ‘Short List’).
These meeting dates are intended to be primarily for representatives of community groups but may also facilitate some individual cases (See further information below). Venues, dates and times include:
St. Attracta’s Post Primary School (Tobercurry, Co. Sligo):
- Monday, 27th September (between 1pm and 5pm);
CBD Sports Centre (Charlestown, Co. Mayo):
- Wednesday, 29th September (between 1pm and 5pm).
Please note that pre-booking is essential for these meetings. Booking can be made by calling 071 91 11990.
Representatives of Community Groups
Community Groups have been established in certain areas to collectively discuss the impacts of any new road development in that area.
Sligo County Council welcomes discussions with these groups (at a community level) and the above additional meeting dates have been added to the public consultation process to facilitate these discussions.
Attendance will be restricted to three nominated members of the group and will be no longer than 45 minutes in duration.
Individual/Family Cases
Additional 20-minute meetings are also being facilitated for individual members of the public who are impacted by route corridors and who are unable to avail of the already scheduled dates on the 21st (McWilliam Hotel, Claremorris) and the 23rd of September (Sligo Park, Sligo). Slots for these cases are limited; therefore people who have already booked times on the 21st and 23rd of September are urged to continue to use those dates/ times.
These events will be carried out in strict accordance with COVID-19 Government Guidelines (the wearing of face masks will be mandatory)*.
The project specific website will continue to be used as the main platform to communicate information & updates to the public. Mapping of options can be accessed through https://n17knockcollooney.ie/mapping/ and should be utilised in the first instance to establish the location of options. In addition, the ‘News, Publications & Submissions’ page will contain all information publicly available at this stage.
The public are encouraged to continue contacting the Project Team with any queries, by:
- Making a ‘Contact Us’ or ‘Call Back’ request on the Project Website;
